POSITION SUMMARY

Renders professional nursing care to patients assigned in the Women’s Center, in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect care, patient care, and collaboration with other disciplines involved in the provision of care. Assists director with the implementation and compliance of standards of performance of nursing care, policies and procedures.  Supervises, directs and teaches team members in patient care and evaluates results. Assists director in orientation of new personnel by completing orientation records. Assists director in orientation of new personnel by completing orientation records. Assists the director in preparing the schedule for the unit.
