Position Description

A leading healthcare staffing group is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its Emergency Response Division in Louisiana. This role offers the opportunity to support rapid statewide deployments in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts; flexible assignments
  • Headcount Needed: 200 Registered Nurses
  • Deployment Locations: New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Hammond, Monroe, Bossier City
  • Start Timeline: Deploy within 48 hours of notice
  • Environment: Emergency preparedness/disaster response

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting patient assessments, triage, and monitoring
  • Delivering urgent and emergency care, including wound care and stabilization
  • Administering medications, vaccinations, and oxygen therapy
  • Supporting chronic disease and behavioral health management
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and patient records

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of nursing experience in Acute Care, Critical Care, dialysis, Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, Chronic Disease Management, Wound & Ostomy Care, Geriatrics, or Pediatrics
  • Active, unencumbered RN license (Louisiana licensure may be required)
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in emergency or disaster environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desired Skills:

  • ACLS/PALS certification
  • Prior experience in emergency response or disaster relief settings
  • Additional specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities
  • Compassionate patient-centered care approach
